|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Graveyard for the community of La Baye (present-day Green Bay), Wisconsin between c1720-1835. After the town of Astor was platted in 1835, the graveyard was abandoned.
Some Catholic burials were removed to a mass grave at Shantytown (present-day Allouez Catholic Cemetery); while others were left where they remain to this day. Still others were removed to what is now Baird Place at the corner of W. Mason St. & S. Webster Ave.
Currently, the site of La Baye Burial Place is unmarked, and lies under South Adams Street, between Crooks St. & Chicago St. in downtown Green Bay. Over the years bodies have been uncovered while doing roadwork along S. Adams St.
