|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Established in 1858. Includes graves of prominent early settlers to the area. After falling into disuse, Nick Anderson of Big Lake took on the restoration project as an Eagle Scout project in the early 1990s. There are 29 gravesites listed as "unknown", their original headstones lost. Currently a volunteer cemetery committee is in place to oversee many imporvements. The Elk River Legion has installed a flagpole and flag to commemorate the verterans resting there, and a wrought iron fence with signature gates has been added as well. The cemetery also includes a columbarium, which is an above-ground cremation niche to hold urns and a marble contemplation bench.
