|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Buried in Jeffers Graveyard, now called Weaver or Saulsberry Farm. The
cemetery is located in Hunt Twp., three and three quarters miles east of Hunt
City, and approx. one half mile north on the R. Saulsberry farm. This
cemetery is located atop the highest point of a ridge, a formation known
locally as "Sand Rock". this solid formation forms a bluff on the east side
of North Fork Creek and is now completely overgrown with timber.
Found the cemetery with the help of the local historian (a Jeffers) in
the county. (This was in the early 1980's) To get there you have to drive to the back of the farmhouse
and then follow the dirt path along the bluff (over the river) to the right and then go up
the bluff. There is no sign.
Many of the stones were gone or broken. The weeds are tall and
there are awful insects, so wear long pants and repellant
