Location: On a dirt lane turning south off Cornwallis Road (SR-1716) near the intersection with Mount Hermon Church Road (SR-1713), about 1 mile from the Durham County line. The one acre cemetery sits 300 feet back from the road, near an old house and a newer brick house.
Additonal information: This cemetery is also referred to as the Baucom, Hicks or Shambley Family Cemeteries.
When surveyed in 1973, there were 23 marked graves and 43 unmarked graves. In August 4, 2004, Betty Stanley Holbert of Bossier City, Louisiana surveyed and photographed the cemetery. In 2009, Amanda Cooke Hatfield provided a May 1976 plat by Ireme Baucom which listed the names of all burials.
