Located on the north west corner of the of Sultan Ahmed Mosque (The Blue Mosque)complex.
The tomb of Sultan Ahmed I commenced by Mustafa Khan I and was finished by Osman II (Osman the Young) It took 3 years and was completed in the year 1619. The architect was Sedefkâr Mehmed Aga who had also built the Sultanahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) complex.
The tomb is decorated with 7th century Iznik tiles and plaster work in a square plan.
Along with the 4 listed, there are 32 other people, including the children of Sultan Ibrahim Khan lying in a state of rest in this tomb.
