William Obermyer purchased the SE 1/4 section 3 from the U.S. government in 1834. It is on a small hill just as you enter Lindsey from the south. It is no longer used for burials. Located about 1 mile from Lindsey Cemetery.
The readings that were taken in 1970 by Grace Luebke and the information was placed at the Hayes Presidential Center Library in Fremont, Ohio.
Earliest burials were for Mary Obermoyer in 1837, Rosanna Obermoyer in 1841, Catharine Cox and Philip Obermoyer in 1843 and Catharine Obermoyer in 1849.
A monument was dedicated on August 14, 1976, for those known to be buried there with their names, birthdates and death dates inscribed on it. Of the grave stones that are there most are in poor condition
Directions: From the intersection of US 20 and SR 590, fo north on SR 590 for 1 6/10 mile. The cemetery is on the left (west)side of the road on the south edge of Lindsey. The cemetery is close to the road. There is no sign. Parking must be in a driveway at a neighboring residence next to the cemetery.
The cemetery is well maintained by the Village of Lindsey.
