Directions: The old Cheney Cemetery is located on the banks of Bayou Beouf in the Southeast corner of the town of Cheneyville (named for the Cheney family). The cemetery was very large at one time; now only a few stones remain, many of which are lying on the ground or broken. The
property is privately owned. There are numerous stones (markers) that are completely unreadable. There are also lots of indentions in ground that could possibly be burials. |
