Cemetery notes and/or description:
Old family cemetery recently cleared and marked by the efforts of the Starnes Triennial Association and the late Herman Starnes (1919-2008). Many of the earliest Starnes to settle in North Carolina are buried here, though the graves were only marked with old field stones. Located off Nesbit Road and Tom Starnes Road (near Prospect Methodist Church), Buford Township, Union County, North Carolina.
