|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
To reach the cemetery from Richmond take route 116 to Danville. At the first light, turn right onto Daniel Johnson Street. At the center of town, turn right onto Carmel Street. The cemetery is a short distance on your right.
This active cemetery dates from the early 1800s and is the final resting place of many of the first settlers of Shipton. It is not the easiest cemetery to get about in, due to it's location on the side of a hill. It is well kept and has many mature shrubs, trees and a mausoleum.
