Cemetery notes and/or description:
This small family cemetery is located along Steckermill Road, Liberty Township, Montour Co., on a plot of ground taken from the East side of the old homestead of the Madden family. Inside the neat, white picket fence are five marked graves and two GAR military service markers in locations without stones. According to an undocumented source, oneo f the unmarked graves is that of Philip Albert, a Revolutionary War Veteran, who was a brother-in-law of James Madden of the War of 1812. |
