|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This cemetery is located in the northwest corner of Evergreen Cemetery. Some death certificates indicate that persons in these sections were buried in "Evergreen"; however, Evergreen does not hold the complete records as it is managed by the Pima County Fiduciary. Evergreen does have a grave location index. The cemetery is for persons who died with no family handling their estate, indigent persons, or for those with financial difficulties.
The westernmost section of the cemetery has also been called the "Tucson Pioneer Cemetery." The approximately 68 burials here predate the founding of the cemetery in 1907, and it appears to be one of several areas in Evergreen which received removals from older Tucson cemeteries.
