Cemetery notes and/or description:
This Cemetery can be reached by traveling St. Rt. 10 to Atenville, WV, turning onto Little Harts Creek Road at Atenville, continuing on Little Harts Creek Road to the top of Little Harts Mountain; shortly after reaching the top of Little Harts Mountain, continuing on a short distance and the road to Mountain Home Cemetery/Church will turn off to the right, going up the hill to the Cemetery/Church.

NOTE: It is located in Wayne County, West Virginia, near the Lincoln-Wayne County, West Virginia, line and, looking at a US Geographical Area map, the area is known as Trough Fork. To lessen confusion for anyone not familiar with the area, persons who lived in this Trough Fork Area, as well as the Queen's Ridge Area, received their mail at Harts, Lincoln County, WV, even though they lived in Wayne County, WV.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:
Most all the mountain cemeteries in these areas are of HISTORICAL significance as many of the founding settlers of the areas, as well as many of their direct descendents, are buried in them.

In the early 1950s, as many of the mountain farms were still in existence and the land cleared for farming, and with the cemeteries/churches being located on high ridges, one, on a clear day, could actually see, from the Queen's Ridge Cemetery location, the white church at Mountain Home and vice versa....Della
