Cemetery notes and/or description:
In 1932 the DAR noted that the exact loaction was not known but that Banta's History stated that the lone known burial was in the woods near the residence. The one known burial is that of Abraham LeMasters, born Aug. 26, 1756, died Nov. 3, 1837 who fought at the Battle of Kings Mountain (according to Historical Society cemetery listing) in South Carolina during the American Revolution. This property is in the section at the south-west corner of US 31 and Tracy Rd. in Whiteland. |
