|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
James G. Cox donated the ground on the Michigan road in the northeast quarter of section 29, and May 28, 1853, deeded the same to the trustees of the Church, E.B. Buchanan, Thos. Dalzell, and J.M. Buchanan. The first burials were members of the Dipert family about 1852-3; Eliza, daughter of Henry Barnett, and Mrs. Cornwell about 1859; Mrs. Russell about 1865, and J.G. Cox. The latter has in recent years been removed to Mt. Hope. No interments have been made here for over forty years and the ground has been abandoned for burial purposes. The few persons buried here now rest peacefully under the new church erected in 1899.
