Cemetery notes and/or description:
According to an untitled history of the region, the first official use of the name Horse Heaven in conjunction with this area dates to 1884 with the founding of the Horse Heaven School. This history also notes that the Horse Heaven Cemetery started in the garden of William Dennis, a local resident killed in a harvest accident in 1892 (1893).
Directions: State Highway 221 - East on Sellards Rd. - North on Clodius Rd. - East on Cemetery Rd. Very remote cemetery with only 11 graves that can be identified as of 11 April 2006. |
