Cemetery notes and/or description:
The cemetery is located along Slowick Rd off Route 93 in North Centre Township, Columbia County. The cemetery is on the north side of the ride about a block east of the small Baptist Cemetery.
The Lutheran church, also known as St. Paul's, was located near here on the northeast corner of Edwards and Slowick Roads, and was still active during the 1920s. A deed, dated Oct. 24, 1857, states that land for a burying ground was sold by John Eckroth to the trustees of Evangelical Lutheran Church "on the road leading to Evans' mill." This appears to be the same lot as the present cemetery. |
