|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Foster Cemetery has also been known as "Lost Cemetery" and is said to be on land originally claimed by Albert N. Brown who migrated to this area in 1873 from Ohio. The cemetery shows clear signs of opened graves that are thought to have been moved to the Waitsburg Cemetery. The earliest burial was 1870 and the last was 1912 per some accounts.
Cemetery is located on the north side of Highway 124 at Mile Marker 39 (3 mi east of Prescott, WA) in Sec 1 T9N R36E. This very overgrown cemetery is located 50 yards off the highway with no trail or road to it. The fence is down and it is well on its way "back to nature".
16 names can be indentified as of 12 March 2006. Some stones have several names on them.
