|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This is a small family cemetery in the middle of a field with no road access. It was completely overgrown when I went there in 1988 -- these are the directions I wrote at that time (edited to add road names in 2013):
Begin at U.S. Post Office on Route 38 in Amelia Courthouse, VA.
Route 38 East turns into Route 614, Dennisville Road, (.8 mi. from Post Office).
Stay on Route 614 (Dennisville Road) for 1.6 mi.
Turn Left off Route 614 (Dennisville Road) onto Route 603 (Poor House Road).
Stay on Route 603 (Poor House Road) for 1.8 mi. (in 1988, 1.4 mi. was paved, .4 mi. was dirt, beginning at intersection of Route 603 & Route 701, Poor House Court,; however as of 2013, it appears to all be paved when viewing in Google Earth).
Turn Right off Route 603 (Poor House Road) onto Driveway. Mailbox reads "W. C. Golden".
Go to the end of the driveway (there are 2 homes on the left, a brick rancher & a white frame house).
The cemetery is .1 mi. into the field from the driveway & is enclosed by a solid concrete wall.
The cemetery is owned by Mrs. Thelma Mottley of Farmville, but is located on land owned by Mrs. Shirley Easter's family.
The cemetery covers approximately 1/16 of an acre.
