|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Weems Cemetery (identified as Whims on several maps) is situated on land once part of the Weems family farm. The land was donated to the community by Abraham Weems for use as a cemetery. The Weems family was among the first settlers in Eastern Tennessee and the farm has been passed down since that time from father to son. Several Civil War soldiers are buried there, including five with fieldstone markers, who are said to be buried facing west.
