|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This is to acknowledge and thank Christina Waltz for permission to use her transcription of Camerer Cemetery she did in 2000. Without this valuable record I could not have submitted the spreadsheet to findagrave of the 77 burials there.
We both have Newton family connections at Camerer and other small cemeteries in Edgar County.
My great grandmother is Sarah Ann Parker Nickels Thornton. Her mother was a Conner so you see all those connections at Camerer.
What sparked my search for Julia A. Conner Thornton was finding out that two Conner brothers each named a daughter Julia and finding one stone at Sugar Grove Cemetery. They were cousins of Sarah Ann. Each married a Thornton. My great grandmother's second husband was Julia A. Conner's first husband.
The rest of the story is in the stones for both.
Again, thank you Christina for your work.
