Mary was born in Bland, Texas, to the late Laura (Geiselbrecht) and Henry Thomas Wall. Mary attended elementary school at The Grove and graduated from Belton High School. She moved to Austin where she graduated from Durham Business School. Mary married Billy C. Evans in 1946 and they had four children. During her life, she worked at several jobs in the Austin area and later moved to Temple where she worked for Scott and White Hospital, Civil Service Administration, and then the VA Hospital. She worked for civil service for 32 years and retired at the age of 71.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Bertha Mae, and sisters, Oma Watts and Wynona Faith; brothers, Millburn Wall and RT Wall; sister-in-law, Glenda Wall; and brothers-in-law, Clarence Hopson and George Faith.
Survivors include her sons, Billy Evans and wife, Joy, of Liberty Hill, Dana Evans and wife, Donna, of Spicewood, and James Evans and wife, Dee, of Burnet; daughter, Barbara Stabeno and husband, Charles, of Salado; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Hopson, of Round Rock, and Novie Dixon and husband, Joe, of Temple; brother, Jerry Wall and wife, Della, of Round Rock; brother-in-law, Arlie Watts, of Waco; many other relatives and numerous friends.
