Mr. W. S. Hill acted as Chairman, and along with several residents acting as trustees, organized the Evergreen Cemetery Association.
Evergreen Cemetery is located on the east side of Streetsboro, on Route #14, headed towards Ravenna. About 2 miles southeast of Route 43, from the towns center. The map indicates the lettered sections, and there is an additional newer part added on to the rear of the cemetery. If your memorial information has the plots, rows listed they will read as the section describes.
Section A; is mostly read by plots. The rows were read south to north, starting in the northeast corner. Some plots may have been listed , however newer graves were filled in between, and may not apply to how they are now given. This is the oldest part of the cemetery.
Section B:This section is at the top of the center/back area, and the rows were read east to west, starting in the northeast corner. This too, is one of the older sections. It lies between Park Lane and Hilltop Drive.
Section C: This section is located in the middle of the cemetery, quite a large hilly area, and rests between Park Lane and Whispering Lane with the rear area along Chapel Drive.
Section D: is to your left a you enter the Main Driveway into the cemetery along Chapel Dr. This is considered the West end. The rows were read east to west. starting at the northeast corner.
Section E: Covers the area on your right as you enter the cemetery on the main road, Chapel Dr. It goes all the way back until the newer section starts in the rear part of the cemetery. Rows were read east to west starting in the northeast corner.
