From Sylacauga head north on AL-21 - 8.7 miles

Turn left on unmarked dirt road - 0.3 miles
White section is on the right, African-American on the left.
Description:
The Wilson cemetery is located on privately-owned land. As of 2007 the owner was Larry Gardner. His phone number is 256-480-6063. He expressed willingness to allow visits to the cemetery. Please call first if possible.
The cemetery is off of a dirt road that starts next to the homestead on Ledbetter Flat Road. The cemetery is about a quarter mile from Ledbetter Flat Road toward the top of the first hill. A pathway on the right side of the dirt road leads to the white section of the cemetery. It has an original short stone wall surrounding it. The cemetery is small and all readable tombstones were transcribed, photographed, and uploaded to findagrave.com in 2007.
The African-American section is on the left side of the dirt road and does not have a trail or any marked boundaries. The entire hillside appears to be a burial ground with many dozens of now-unmarked graves. There are a few broken headstones and other stone fragments, as well as recognizable depressions in the ground. A number of Alabama death records for African-Americans list Wilson Cemetery. Family oral history confirms that this is the place to which the death certificates refer. In 2007 there were two readable tombstones clearly visible and easy to find, namely, Maud Pope and Charlie Estelle. These two tombstones are across the dirt road and somewhat to the left of the white section of the cemetery.
