This cemetery is actually "Jenkins Cemetery #1" which is one of the older cemeteries in Graham County. It's located on a private drive (Santeetlah Cemetery Road), off Highway 129 North in Santeetlah Community, Cheoah District, Graham County.

Section I of this cemetery has headstones that date back into the 1800s, and more than 160 graves. A newer Section II has the more recent interments.

Care of this cemetery was taken over by Santeetlah Baptist Church, and as a result would become known as Santeetlah Baptist Church Cemetery.

This cemetery should NOT be confused with Jenkins Cemetery #2 on Hyde Road. Jenkins Cemetery #2 is located in the Stecoah Community, off Hwy 28 North, some 30-miles to the south.
