Around the turn of the century, Marshall Galloway moved to Sullivan County Tennessee. On November 24 1803, Marshall bought 71 acres on the waters of Fall Creek from Richard Shipley in Sullivan county Tennessee. On July 17 1804 he bought 19 additional acres from Samuel Shipley. On September 5, 1809 Jobe Key sold 15 acres of land to Marshall.

Marshall Galloway's property consisted of 143 acres of land about 6-miles south west of Blountville, adjoining lands of John Roller, Martin Roller and others.

There is an old graveyard that is from one-half to one mile from the old Galloway farm on what was formerly the Roller Farm along Fall Creek.
