The original block of land was donated by Pierre Casavant shortly before his death Oct 3, 1867.
Additional land was purchased from Pierre Casavant and Joseph Beaune.
The oldest stone dates to 1870.
In 1868 The Church of Annunciation was built.
The three hamlets of Chevalier, St. Clair and Stoney Point were incorporated into one and on June 17, 1881 became Stoney Point.
In 1914 the village postmaster, Emmanual Desmarais succeeded in having the postal address changed to Pointe-Aux-Roches.
This cemetery belongs to the Diocese of London.
