Harry R Whitney, a Dodge Center resident died at his home Sunday Dec. 26, 1943 at 64 years old. He is the only child of the late Mr and Mrs Samuel Whitney,and he was born March 16, 1879. On Jan. 6, 1908 he married Edna Randall of Ellendale, N.D.
A banker 35 years, he advanced from janitor to president of the Dodge Center State Bank. He retired in 1938 and devoted much of his time to his farm south of Dodge Center.
Other survivors are two half sisters, Mrs Eugene Ames and Mrs Eva Maas of Los Angeles.
