Lauren Michelle Compton, 9, of Chesterfield became an Angel with the Lord, April 24, 2005.
She is survived by her parents, Mike and Antonia "Toni" Compton; maternal grandparents, Ramon and Cindy Rivas; paternal grandparents, Billy and Linda Compton; aunts and uncles, Jo-Jo and Pete, Sue-Sue and Roger, DeeDee and Dana and Irene and Kenny; cousins, Ashley, Katelyn, Megan, Jamie, Cole, Zachary, Casey, Brandon and Chip; godparents, Billy and Tracey Cereo; numerous friends and classmates. She was a third grader at Richmond Christian School. She was very compassionate towards others, and loved to sing, draw and make people laugh.
The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bliley Funeral Homes' Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Clover Hill Baptist Church, 3100 Courthouse Rd. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lauren Michelle Compton Scholarship Fund at Richmond Christian School, 6511 Belmont Rd., Chesterfield, Va. 23832.
