Ola May Yancy
Ola May Adams Yancy, 83, passed away into the loving arms of her Savior on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born September 29, 1926, in Huckleberry, Ky.
She loved cooking and tending to her many flowers. She worked for Loving Care Nursing Home in Cynthiana for 13 years, and New Harmonie Health Care in New Harmony for 16 years. She was a faithful member of Lighthouse Assembly of God.
Ola is preceded in death by her husband, General Lee Yancy, in 1987 and a son, Larry, in 1949. She is survived by her children, David (Mary) Adams of Fort Branch, Nina Moller of Norcross, GA, Neil Adams of Stewartsville, Nancy (Bill) Mahrenholz of Evansville, Paul Adams of New Harmony, Melissa Hogan of Evansville, and Gerald Adams of Evansville; and grandchildren, Kelli Duncan, Christy Mahrenholz, Mike Adams, Brian Adams, Shelly Moller, Maurice Hill, Jason Hill, Sara Nunn, Jimmy Hogan, Jarrod Hogan, Jeffery Hogan, Josh Hogan, Brian Willis, David Adams, Julie Willis, Jennifer Adams, Elizabeth Adams, Emily Adams, Rylee Peircefield and Kinsey Morris; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother to her pets Sabby, Crystal, Blackie and Old Blue.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in New Harmony, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m.
