Jack D. Anway, of Grand Blanc, age 92, died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Jack was born on November 26, 1924, the son of Dale and Alice (Cronover) Anway and married to Jennie Priebe on June 26, 1949.
He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy Armed Guard from 1943 to 1945, and a proud member of the Teamsters.
Jack is survived by four children, Dave Anway of Grand Blanc, MI, Mike Anway of Kent, WA, Terry (Karen) Anway of Goodrich, MI, and Thom Anway of Grand Blanc, MI, four grandchildren, Lynne Allard, Mari (Jessie) Brown, Amanda Anway, Jeremiah (Sarah) Anway, and seven great-grandchildren, Jessie, Hayley, Jadzia, Jordan, Huntley, Olivia, Julian. Jack is also survived by his brother, Gary (Virginia) Wilson, of Leslie, MI, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jennie Anway, brother, Max Breene and sister, Barbara Thompson.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Pastor Sara LaRose-Nettell officiating. Interment at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M.to 12:00 P.M.
