Born 27 Feb1923 in Summers Co. she was a daughter of the late James Edward and Lutishie Lou Daniels Lucas.
Bessie was a member of the Bellepoint Baptist Church, a former employee of the Summers County Council on Aging and a homemaker. She loved gardening and her passion was quilting as well as spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Bessie was a lifelong resident of Summers County and the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Pack; second husband, William Emmett Yancey; two brothers, Mason Daniels and James Lucas; three sisters, Georgia Leslie, Mildred Lucas, and Melinda Bragg.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive whom she loved dearly.
Tuesday January 3, 2017, Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
