He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. James Boswell of Metamora, Illinois, and the husband of Mrs. Shirley Boswell of R.R.#1 of Mapleton, Illinois, and was employed by the United Cigar Store of Peoria.
He enlisted in the Army in Peoria on April 8, 1942, and did his training at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, and was overseas by February of 1944.
He does leave one sister, Miss Phyllis of Metamora, and four brothers, George and William of Metamora, Charles of Peoria, and Walter of Hawaii.
